Some of the most creative Home technology integration takes place outside the House, in patios, courtyards and swimming pools. Integrate a large theater system based on the projection of a decorative waterfall is something we have never seen before.

Innovation of vanguard of The Woodlands, Texas, had already installed a media room and control system of home in the main house when the owners from asking about the chances of the rear patio area. The first plan was partially a function of water around the entire pool. But this customer, who likes to entertain and organize parties around major sporting events, wanted something with a little more wow. When the idea of a projection system that was not only for external guests, but although the floor-to-ceiling glass wall of the living room, well, President of vanguard of innovation Tim Morgan was behind it fully.

Back, technically, is how this system was removed. A projection screen from Stewart Filmscreen Oasis 144 inch, motorized descends from a beam above the pool. The waterfall, or really "waterwall," also comes from the same beam, in front of the screen. Behind the screen, back near the yard is the projector, secured on a pedestal of stucco in a baby Blizzard indoor climate controlled designed to withstand almost anything. In the Houston area means heat, rain and high humidity. A bright (4000 lumens) but economic BenQ projector was selected for the project because the owner was hesitant about putting something too expensive in the backyard. Inside press room uses a 3-chip projector SIM2.

Decorative LED lighting is integrated in the structure that keeps the screen and the waterwall. The owner can change the color of the lights for different purposes. It is possible that the displayed screen also merging the waterwall, but only for some purposes of background, because viewers can see the image clearly if there is water cascading in front of her.

Since the pool was already finished and is filled when the theater system was installed, the vanguard team had to stand in the water while the heavy motor and the screen for the installation. Once wrapped inside the box, the screen is safe and secure from the elements. The display of Oasis was designed for outdoor use, so it is made of a material resistant to weather that can be easily cleaned.

You might think that you could influence a drop-down menu with the wind screen, causing the picture to move. Morgan said a metal bar at the bottom of the screen gives the weight of the screen, and trees around the perimeter of the property to prevent wind from being a problem. Trees also help a bit with the image. Because they are so high, blocked much of the light of the sunset by what owners can start its swim-up film a little earlier in the night. "The projector is bright enough and has a short-throw, so you can even watch movies with the illumination of the landscape," says Morgan.

When the owners have guests over, all the world sees the projection screen through the glass wall as soon as you enter through the front door. It is a great dramatic moment for people who have not seen before.
As impressive as it is audio/video system, if people don't want to go out and enjoy it, the effort is lost. For that reason, it could be argued that the most important feature is the mosquito in the backyard nebulizer system. "They are a big problem in Houston," says Morgan. "They are great here too," adds, because everything is bigger in Texas.
