After the Brisbane River flood in the year 2011, ex-1990′s apartment suffered in Maldon, great transformations, Brisbane, Australia. The rooms overlooking the river project, needed as the architects of Shaun Lockyer decided to call it architects, a fresh, new look. The primary requirements were a better connection to the river and make the House a little more spacious (and light) than before.?"This design was about maximizing the connection with the River to open and bright indoor / outdoor living experience to create." ?New built area captures a breathtaking view over the River, while the rear part of the House, entirely renovated, well, bright sunlight allows, to sneak inside the House during the cold winter days.
The establishment is clean, airy and "wrapped" in wood. Floor Windows replaced a regular walls, creating a transparent and bright environment up to the ceiling. From the sudden, the living room was bright and warm, encouraging social interaction. The clients must himself now a new kind of experience in a climatically more respond to adapt space. To increase the thermal mass, the extra insulation built ceiling, walls and floor.
